We are two South Asian American women united by our passion for healthy living and the confluence of mind and body to achieve overall wellness and reach your maximum potential. Just like many Indian women, as we grew our young families, we took on ourselves the role of the family coach, cheerleader, cook while nursing and nurturing our family through health and sickness. Our passion for healthy living continued to foster as we learnt the role of diet, nutrition and stress in contributing to many acquired conditions. We acquired formal accreditation in Health coaching and mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) training. We believe that mental, emotional and physical health are not separate from each other. We are driven by a desire to help people to lead an intentional, authentic and disease-free life and help build a healthier and resilient society one individual at a time.
Our Vision: Our guiding principle is based on the following Sanskrit Shloka:
“Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niraamayaah |
Sarve Bhadraanni Pashyantu, Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet “
Translated to English, this means,
May All be Happy, May All be Free from Illness.
May All See what is Auspicious, May no one Suffer.
We at NutriGuide, want to democratize access to health, wellness and performance improvement resources to all in the society.
Co-Founder: Shobhna Batta – Health And Nutrition Coach
I am a food enthusiast and the founder of NutriGuide. I enjoy learning and researching topics related to healthy living. I am a “clean eater”, even as a kid I loved my veggies and greens. Thanks to my mom for teaching the biggest lesson of my life – “You are what you eat!”.
Over the years, I have made many small changes in my lifestyle which led to a positive difference in my health and well-being. My friends started to call me “Dr. Shobhna” and would consult on their weight loss or health struggles.
I decided to take my passion to the next step and got certified as a Health Coach from Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. That program taught me simple, science-based guidelines on healthy living. I am trained in Functional Nutrition, an area focused on getting to the root cause of your health issues by following a holistic approach, and have a certification in Ayurveda. I specialize in Women’s Hormone Health and Fertility.
My role as a health coach is to help you achieve your health and wellness goals by providing :
- Science-based trusted Information
- Positive Encouragement
- Continued Motivation

I am a life-long learner and an empathetic leader of people throughout my technology career.
I have always been driven by a desire to help individuals, teams, and communities reach their truest potential and live a life of resilience and wellness. I believe that even though there are no shortcuts to wellness, a guide and coach can help you take the shorter route to success given the demands on your time. I am also extremely passionate about working with the youth and making mindfulness, wellness and life skills accessible to all youth. I work extensively with communities and serve on the board of two non-profits CHAT, and I-RADHA, who offer therapy and performing art services to the youth.
In addition to helping people develop resilience skills using mindfulness, I also have multi-faceted experience in software product development, driving innovation and change, and influence leadership within the corporate world. My empathy and ability to connect with people has helped me lead and develop high-performing teams and helped foster great relationships with customers and stakeholders in my corporate career.
